Kirtan is a practice of devotion through voice, a call and response that asks nothing of us except presence! We sing the names of the sacred from the Yogic and Tantric traditions, and let them move through us to bring us into a place of collective heart.
Join us for an afternoon of Bhakti, storytelling and song with live harmonium, tabla and guitar. We’ll let mantra carry us, with a little myth and story along the way. Flowing from one mantra to the next (we’ll have the words if you’re newer to the practice too!) building and softening like a tide, with plenty of warmth in the cosy Yogasara studio.
In the middle of the gathering there’ll be time for sharing some homegrown tea, and a little something sweet.
All welcome to come tune in and sing - no experience or ‘good voice’ needed.
Please bring: a cup for tea and anything warm and cosy/you may like to sit on (chairs are available for those needing too).
